Summer is almost here. Unofficially, we have been have summer weather here in Lodi. It has been hot. But at night our galaxy, the Milky Way, is visible in the eastern sky. In the southern night sky look for the closest star to our solar system, Alpha Centauri, in the early evening sky. While in the southern predawn sky, look for bright planets Jupiter and Saturn. A small telescope will make four of Jupiter’s moons visible. The earth’s moon will be in its last-quarter phase on Friday. https://skyandtelescope.org/observing/this-weeks-sky-at-a-glance-june-5-13-2/
